12 Ian The InnoBoost Project
The InnoBoost project was developed as a joint initiative of two cross-border organizations sharing similar goals, with the purpose of promoting a solution in response to SME weaknesses and low competitiveness, by promoting business-to-business relations and boosting cooperation and competitiveness based on innovation among companies in the cross-border region.
The project has the following objectives:
– Identifying and promoting innovative products/services/solutions to boost the competitiveness and increase the profile of companies in the cross-border region;
– Developing match-making instruments and promoting good practices to facilitate cooperation among the companies in the cross-border region;
– Providing support to improve the performance of companies in the cross-border region.
The main project partners are:
Tehimpuls – The Regional Centre for Innovation and Technology Transfer – Leading Partner (Timișoara, Romania)
DARINNO – The Great Hungarian Plain Innovation Agency– Project partner (Szeged, Hungary)
The Szeged Innovation Agency was set up in 2004 with the help of the National Research and Development Office. The Szeged Innovation Agency started its activity in 2005 and carries out coordination, planning, and assistance services to support the cooperation between research, development, and innovation institutions and the industry.
The project activities are divided into 5 activity packages:
- project management activities (developing an activity plan and a communication plan, project meetings, regular reporting);
- communication activities (setting up 2 RO-HU information points, creating a project website, an online banner and an electronic brochure, press releases, press conferences, promotional materials, photo documentation).
- preparation activities for the InnoMatch Fair (identifying stakeholders, selecting the target group, developing a database, holding meetings and round tables with the target group, creating a Strategic Council and an Evaluation Team, identifying good practices in the cross-border region);
- the InnoMatch Fair (the fair launch conference, discussion panels, match-making sessions, good practice presentations, InnoImpuls Competition Awards Ceremony);
- capitalization activities (organizing a training session in the field of intellectual property rights and creating consultancy schemes for the best innovative products, services or technologies, making an innovative product catalogue).
The project is implemented over a 12-month period and has a total budget of EUR 85,933, of which EUR 71,043.80 is the ERDF contribution.
